Scott graduated in 1971 from the University of Waterloo in the field of mechanical engineering. He joined the firm in 1972 and became the founding partner of Emans Smith Andersen Ltd (Calgary) in 1976. Scott has grown the Calgary firm from start-up to a well-recognized, mid-size engineering firm in Calgary. Among his many accomplishments, Scott engineered the Bankers Hall Phase 2, Grandview Condominium, Scotia Bank Western Technology Centre, Calgary Municipal Building, and the Calgary Eaton Centre.
